At the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, Radical introduced a higher-performance version of the existing turbo road car, the RXC Turbo 500. All internals and externals of the car are carried over from the original Turbo, with the exception of the new uptuned 3.5 L EcoBoost engine. The RXC Turbo 500's EcoBoost V6 now produces 530 hp (537 PS; 395 kW) @ 6,100 rpm and 481 lb⋅ft (652 N⋅m) @ 5,000 rpm
Thus, the new model has a length of 4,300 mm, a width of 1,960 mm and a height of 1,100 mm. The model uses a tubular chassis and the bodywork is carbon fiber, with the suspension consisting of double wishbones on all four wheels and adjustable dampers. Brakes are four-wheel disc with discs measuring 330 mm at the front and 310 mm at the rear, also using six-piston calipers.
However, the biggest change was in the engine. Now the Radical is equipped with a 3.5-liter Ford Ecoboost V6 engine, features new turbos, high-performance injectors and a new intake system.
The engine produces 530 hp and 651 Nm of torque being combined with a Quaife seven-speed transmission with steering wheel butterflies. The car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 160 km/h in just 6.8 seconds, a really considerable mark.
Radical already announces that the RXC Turbo 500 will try to beat the speed record for production models at the Nürburgring circuit.
